PART TWO
CHAPTER 1: The Indian Ocean
          This chapter is about the second part of the journey. The Nautilus travel through the Indian Ocean many days. Aronnax thinks they are getting close to land. He think about how to end the journey in order to help his friends escape. Ned Land suggests they take their leave from Captain Nemo. But Aronnax suggests that they will heading to Europe and they should wait until they be in their own seas to do anything. In the Indian ocean they float in waters that contain many dead bodies. The ship sails through a sea of white water, is produced by glow worms below the surface. 

CHAPTER 2: A Novel Proposal of Captain Nemo's

          In this chapter, Captain Nemo suggests Aronnax that they go to the Gulf of Manaar at the Island of Ceylon. Nemo warns Aronnax that they may face to sharks, but tells him not to fear. The crews are fun to hunt sharks. Captain Nemo told Land and Conseil about pearls not about sharks. They discuss pearls and their value. Aronnax asks Land and Conseil if they would be frightened by sharks, Land present his harpooning skills. Conseil , the ever faithful manservant, says that he will go anywhere Aronnax will go.

CHAPTER 3: A Pearl of Ten Millions

          When the men reached the pearls, by a smaller boat, they wear their diving suits. These were the same suits they wore on their other time. Aronnax asked for his gun to defend himself against sharks. Nemo gave him a knife and told him that he was better. In the driving the men saw exciting life below the surface. There was a giant pearl, the size of a coconut, inside the oyster. Nemo was not let Aronnax touch the pearl. He would leave the pearl in the oyster to grow larger. The men stopped to watch a diver collecting oysters when a shark came to him and knocked him out with its tail. Before the shark could eat the diver, Captain Nemo attacked it with his knife. Nemo and the shark battled, the shark knocked Nemo to the ground. Ned Land sprung to action and killed the shark with his harpoon. Nemo went to the Indian diver and brought him to the surface, saving his life. Captain Nemo gave him a string of pearls.

CHAPTER 4: The Red Sea

          Aronnax is enjoying his adventure in the Nautilus, and notes that like Nemo, he has become a fanatic. Ned Land murmur that they have been imprisoned for three months. Aronnax enjoy the sights of the sea through the viewing windows in the salon. Captain Nemo joins Aronnax in the salon and the men engage in a discussion of the dangers of the Red Sea. Aronnax is surprised to hear they will be venturing into the Mediterranean next day, because he knows how far the Cape of Good Hope is from their location. The captain tells Aronnax that there is a tunnel at the bottom of the sea that will bring them to pass the Red Sea without having to go to Africa at all.

CHAPTER 5: The Arabian Tunnel 

          Ned Land is wonder about the tunnel, because he has never heard of it. Land, Conseil and Aronnax went to hunt the creature in the small boat. Land just catch a animal and it swims away, they chases it. The dugong returns to the boat and attack the boat. The boat almost sink, but Land manages to kill it. The next day the Nautilus makes it through the Arabian Tunnel. 

CHAPTER 6 : The Grecian Archipelago

          This chapter, Land realized that they had crossed the tunnel and in the Mediterranean Sea. He asked if they could talk quietly about their escaping. Aronnax did not wish to leave. He think he would never have an opportunity to experience underwater and he wanted to continue the voyage, but he did not want to preclude his friends’ freedom. Ned Land had enjoyed his time in the Nautilus. Conseil believed that the captain would free them when they seen all there was to see. Aronnax disagreed. He thought that since they were know the secrets of the Nautilus, Captain Nemo could not risk freeing them. Land tried convince Aronnax that they must use this opportunity to escape. Aronnax finally agreed with Land. He realized that Land was correct, they could not depend on Nemo to ever free them. There is an incident occurred, Aronnax saw a ship wrecked man. The man swan toward the Nautilus the captain spoke to him through hand signals. Nemo walked over to a safe filled with gold and sent it to them. The next day they found themselves traveling in boiling water. Aronnax think if they had tried to escape they would be dead.

CHAPTER 7: The Mediterranean in Forty-Eight Hours

          Aronnax think it was impossible to escape the Nautilus while in the Mediterranean. It went entirely too fast. Conseil and Aronnax spent the time to  observe and classify species. After two days, the ship emerged in the Atlantic Ocean. 

CHAPTER 8: Vigo Bay

          When they reach the Atlantic. Land decided to operate their plan to escape. He go to Aronnax and told him they would have to leave that night. They were only a few miles to the Spanish coast. That day Aronnax was overcome with emotion. He did not want to leave his underwater studies while it is not finished. He knew he must go. Aronnax go to Captain Nemo’s room, it's empty. He observed pictures on the wall of great men devoted to humanity. Aronnax waited in the library for Land’s signal as planned. At that time he realize a sudden slowing of the ship, and felt it sit at the ocean’s bottom. The Nemo get into the library. Nemo asked Aronnax if he knew his Spanish history. When Aronnax responded that he was not, Nemo told his story that ended with a ship wreck in the Vigo Bay. The bay which they were sitting. Aronnax looked out into the water he saw divers collecting the wealth that was left by the wreck. Aronnax remarked that they could distributed the collection to other. This made Nemo who said why Aronnax think he kept them for himself. Aronnax realized then that Nemo was still human, he was using his riches to help poor people.

 CHAPTER 9: A Vanished Continent
          At noon they checked to see the position of the vessel. It was sailing away from Europe. There are no land was in sight. Aronnax was not very disappointed. He began his regular studies. Nemo asked Aronnax if he might like to go on an excursion at night time. He warned Aronnax that the journey would be long and tiring. Aronnax accepted. Land and Conseil were not asked to come. The crew did not go either. Aronnax saw many new and interesting things. There was a volcano and fire. It was the lost city of Atlantis.

CHAPTER 10: The Submarine Coal Mines

          Nemo tells them that the volcano is his safe haven. There are no one will find them and where does not have to fear hurricanes. In this volcano, Nemo’s use coal to produce the electricity for the ship. They are able to spend the day walking around. Aronnax wonders why they do not leave right away. 

CHAPTER 11: The Sargasso Sea 

          There is the Sargasso Sea, in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. The sea covers Atlantis, and consisting of various grasses. The ships sails for eighteen days. Aronnax thinks about how he might persuade Nemo to free them at the end of the journey. One day they are chased by some boats who think they are a whale. Nemo decides to go to the deepest part of the ocean to make observations. This is a difficult journey. Nemo and Aronnax observe the sea life together. Nemo photographs the scene for Aronnax. The ship quickly returns to the surface to avoid too much pressure of the sea.

CHAPTER 12 : Cachalots and Whales

          This chapter, Aronnax is surprised to see the ship is not heading back to its original location. Land, Conseil and Aronnax try to think out how many men there are on board. They calculate that the Nautilus has enough of air supply to sustain people on broad. Aronnax observes that after this incident Land’s attitude toward Nemo significantly.
